Details - Database Connections
The Database Connections Details page shows information about who is connecting to one instance. The graph quickly shows you the busiest and slowest days and times on the instance, allowing you to spot trends and patterns. You can then drive into each login by its originating host.

Selecting an instance
Section titled “Selecting an instance”The Details page requires an instance. You can:
- Select an instance in the Filters drop-down.
- Select a row on the Overview, or select View Details from its row-level action icon, to jump to Details with that instance already filtered.
Summary cards
Section titled “Summary cards”Four summary cards at the top of the page summarize the selected instance and time range.
| Card | Description |
|---|---|
| Connections | The number of connections to the instance, with the change from the prior period |
| Unique Logins | The number of distinct logins that connected, with the change from the prior period |
| Unique Programs | The number of distinct programs that connected, with the change from the prior period |
| Unique Hosts | The number of distinct hosts that connected, with the change from the prior period |
Connection Volume Over Time
Section titled “Connection Volume Over Time”The Connection Volume Over Time graph is a line graph of the number of connections for each aggregation period across the time range you selected. The time range is shown next to the chart title.
- The View Performance Metrics button on the chart card opens the Performance Metrics page under Health, with the counters for the selected instance displayed: Transactions/sec _Total, User Connections, and Batch Requests/sec.
- The default time range is 7 days, aggregated by 1 hour.
- Click and drag on the graph to zoom into the range you select.
- The aggregation can be changed depending on the size of the time range. You can go all the way down to 1 minute when the time range is 3 hours or less.
