Getting Started
These guides walk you through the steps required to get WISdom up and running in your environment, from installing the Data Collector to configuring alerting. Follow them in order for a smooth initial setup.
Coming soon: WISdom will include an in-app Onboarding Wizard and a guided Configuration page in the Admin Console to walk new users through setup directly in the product.
Setup sequence
Section titled “Setup sequence”Step 1, install the Data Collector
Section titled “Step 1, install the Data Collector”The WISdom Data Collector is the bridge between your SQL Server environment and the WISdom platform. Installing it is the first step before any data can be collected or displayed in WISdom.
Step 2, add Resources for collection
Section titled “Step 2, add Resources for collection”With the Data Collector installed, add the SQL Server instances WISdom should monitor and confirm that it can connect to them.
Step 3, set up alerting
Section titled “Step 3, set up alerting”Once data is flowing, configure alerts so WISdom notifies the right people when conditions worth investigating are detected in your environment.
