Report History
Summary
Report History is a log of every report that has been generated in your environment — both scheduled runs and previews triggered manually. Use it to confirm that a scheduled run completed successfully, review what was delivered to recipients, or download a copy of any past report.
Accessing Report History
- Open the Admin Console.
- Select Reporting.
- Select Report History from the breadcrumb navigation.
Reading the Report History List
Each row in Report History represents a single report run. The columns show:
- Subscription — The name of the subscription that triggered the run, with its description below.
- Client — The client environment the report covers, if applicable.
- Filters — How many tag and group filters were active when the report ran.
- Click on the Tag or Resource icon to display the selections for each.
- Delivery — A breakdown of how many recipients received the report successfully and how many deliveries failed.
- Sent At — The date and time the report run was completed.
- Status — The overall result of the run: Pending, Success, Partial, or Failed.
- Downloads — The number of available download files for this run.
- Click on the Download icon to see what versions have been generated.
Understanding Report Status
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Pending | The report is queued or processing, check back for an updated status. |
| Success | The report ran and was delivered to all recipients without errors. |
| Partial | The report ran, but at least one delivery failed. Some recipients received it; others did not. Check the Delivery column to see the breakdown. |
| Failed | The report could not be generated or delivered. Open the run details to see the error information. |
Viewing and Downloading Reports
To access a specific report run, select the options menu (three dots) at the end of the row:
- View Details — Opens a summary of the report run, including delivery status for each recipient.
- Download HTML Report — Downloads the report as an HTML file that can be opened in any web browser.
- Download PDF Report — Downloads the report as a PDF file, suitable for sharing with stakeholders or attaching to tickets and documentation.
You can also select the download icon directly in the Downloads column to access the available files for that run.
Tip: Use PDF downloads when sharing with stakeholders who need a file attachment — for example, in a post-incident ticket, a leadership email, or a compliance record.
Filtering Report History
Select the Filters button at the top of the Report History screen to narrow the list. You can filter by subscription name, date range, status, and more.
Select Reset to remove all active filters and return to the full history view.
Troubleshooting
I did not receive a scheduled report
- Open Report History and locate the run by date. Check whether the Status shows Success, Partial, or Failed.
- If the status is Partial or Failed, click on the Delivery column (Sent and/or Failed) on the run to see which deliveries succeeded and which failed.
- Check the Subscription settings, confirming the subscription is Active and that the correct email address appears under Recipients.
- Check your email spam or junk folder.
- If the issue persists, contact WISdom support with the subscription name and the run date from Report History.
A subscription shows a Partial status
A Partial status means the report was generated successfully, but at least one delivery failed. Common causes:
- An email address in the Recipients list is incorrect, or the mailbox is full.
- A notification channel is misconfigured or temporarily unavailable.
Click on the Delivery column (Sent and/or Failed) on the run to see which deliveries succeeded and which failed, then update the Recipients or channel settings on the subscription accordingly.
The report data does not match what I see in WISdom
This is usually a difference in time range or scope between what the report covers and what you are viewing in the UI.
- Compare the observation period the subscription uses with the date range you are viewing in WISdom.
- Check the Filters tab on the subscription to confirm whether the report is scoped to a specific environment or tag.
- If the data still looks inconsistent, contact WISdom support with the report name, the run time from Report History, and a screenshot of what you expect to see in the UI.
I don't see a template I expected to find
- Confirm you have permission to view templates. Contact your WISdom administrator if needed.
- Check whether the template was deleted. Deleted templates are not recoverable.
- If the template exists but has no subscriptions, it may have been created by another user. Ask your administrator to review the template list.
