Account Management

Prev Next

This page answers common questions about managing your WISdom account, including resetting or updating your password, resetting multi-factor authentication (MFA), and changing the email address associated with your account.

Resetting or Updating Your Password

How do I reset or update my password?

This applies to accounts that log in with an email address and password. If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO) to access WISdom, your password is managed by your organization's identity provider; contact your IT administrator for help.

To reset or update your password:

  1. On the WISdom login screen, select Reset password below the password field.
  2. On the Forgot Your Password screen, confirm your email address and select Continue.
  3. Check your email for the reset link and follow the instructions to create a new password.
Password Reuse Rule

You cannot reuse any of your last three passwords.

Resetting Your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

How do I reset my MFA?

This applies to accounts that log in with an email address and password. If you log in through SSO, MFA is managed by your organization's identity provider.

There are two ways to reset your MFA:

Option 1: Have a WISdom Admin deactivate and reactivate your account

A WISdom Admin can go to Admin Console › Team, locate your account, select the 3 vertical dots at the right end of the row, and select Deactivate. The Admin then repeats these steps and selects Activate to restore your access.

Reactivating the account sends you a new invitation email with the subject "Setup your WISdom credentials." Follow the link in that email, valid for 7 days, to create a new password. Once your password is set, you'll be required to set up MFA the next time you log in, using one of the options listed in Option 2 below.

Option 2: Submit a support request

Email WISdomSupport@fortified.com and ask Support to reset your MFA. Support resets MFA only, so your password stays the same. The next time you log in, you'll be prompted to set up MFA again, using one of the following methods:

  • A QR code, scanned into an authenticator app
  • A code sent to your email (spam filters can sometimes delay delivery)
  • A code sent by text message (delivery can be delayed, and this is the least secure option)
Password Reuse Rule

You cannot reuse any of your last three passwords.

Updating Your Email Address

How do I change the email address on my account?

You can't change the email address on an existing account directly. Instead, a WISdom Admin must create a new account using the new email address and assign it the correct role. This applies to both SSO and non-SSO (email and password) accounts.

If your account has the Administrator role, you can self-manage this process by creating a new account with the updated email address.

  • SSO accounts: No password or MFA setup is required since your identity provider handles authentication. The new account becomes active as soon as the Admin creates it in WISdom.
  • Non-SSO accounts: You'll receive an invitation email with the subject "Setup your WISdom credentials." Follow the link in that email, valid for 7 days, to create your password. Because it's a new account, you can reuse a password you've used before. You'll also be required to set up MFA.

Once you've confirmed you have access to the new account, a WISdom Admin should delete the old account.
