Details - Hosts

Prev Next

The Hosts - Details screen is divided into two parts: Health and Properties. Each part features several cards that display information relevant to the chosen Host. When accessing the Hosts - Details screen, it is required to select one Host from the drop-down filter for the data to be shown. The Tags filter can be used to refine the choices available in the Host drop-down or a View may be used, but only if it contains a single host. The filters selected will remain the same across the Overview and Details screens; however, if multiple Hosts were chosen in the Overview filter, the Host filter will reset for the Details screen.

The Date Picker found in the top right corner of the screen allows for the selection of a date up to the present day. The information displayed in the Hosts - Details screen will depend on the selected date. The data will reflect a summary of the 30 days leading up to the chosen date, excluding the selected date itself from the summary.

Overview

The Overview section provide information on the Host Environment, including Availability, Alerts, Silencing Windows, Tier of Service and Monitoring.

Availability

Displays the current Tier of Service and Availability percentage of the selected Host.
The Availability percentage is calculated based on the week leading to the selected date.

  • The SELECT @@SERVERNAME query is executed against the target to determine if it is offline or unresponsive based on the message returned. Both are included in the calculated Availability percentage.

  • The color-coded bar chart matches the colored numbers in the Drives column and displays storage latency values for the host drives.
  • Click on the row to display a pop-up that contains the Host, Drive and/or Mount Points, and Disk Latency in milliseconds for the selected host.
Performance thresholds for throughput or latency expectations can trigger alerts.
  • For more information, see the Alerts section of this manual.

Storage Capacity

Displays information about percentage of free space per drive and mount points for the selected Host.

  • The color-coded bar chart matches the colored numbers in the Drives column and displays the percentage of free disk space for each drive and mount point.
