Alerts - Details

This screen displays a single card with a list of the Alerts that have fired within the selected time range and filters.

  • Use the calendar widget to change the date range (default is last seven (7) days).

Alerts can be filtered by Host, Instance, Alert Category, Severity, Alert, Alert Status, and Tag using the drop-down filters at the top of the screen. Note that filters will be pre-selected if the Details screen was reached via a drill-through from the Overview screen.

Alerts

This card lists the Alerts meeting the selected time range and filters in a table format starting with Open alerts, as follows:

  • The Status column displays the Status of the alert.

    • Open status indicates that the alert condition is being met at the current time. Closed indicates that the condition has subsided.
  • The Ticket ID column displays a ticket number associated with the alert if a ticketing integration is associated.

  • The Resource column displays the resource name.

  • The Object column displays the object name if applicable.

    • Common examples include job names and disk drive letters.
  • The Alert column displays the name of the alert.

  • The Severity column displays the severity associated with the alert.

  • The Open Date column displays the time the alert was triggered.

  • The Close Date column displays the time the alert condition stopped being met.

  • The Alert Categories column displays the alert categories (if any) that the alert belongs to.

  • The Tags column displays the tags associated with the resource.

  • Click on the three-dot action icon at the end of a row to view the Alert Details flyout for that alert.

Alert Details Flyout

This flyout displays more details for the selected Alert event and is made up of two cards:

The top card is named with the Alert Name and displays the Alert ID number, Status, Ticket ID, Ticket Duration, Resource, Open Date, Close Date, Object, Alert Categories, and Tags.

The Alert Message Card displays the detailed message text associated with the alert.
