These cards provide ways to examine the health of the Collector(s) in the current environment.

System Status

SQL Server and Windows data is collected and displayed as two (2) separate Collection Statuses. The color-coded bar at the top of the card corresponds to the statuses listed by percentage. Collection issues are tracked and ranked and a System Status is assigned, as follows:
Optimal Successfully processing the data collected
Caution Issues may cause some data to not be collected
Danger Indicates the number of more serious collection errors
Click on row to display a pop-up that lists the Client, Environment, and Status.

Collector Status

Collector Health rankings are determined by whether any issues were encountered by the collection service. The color-coded bar at the top of the card corresponds to the statuses listed by percentage. Collection issues are tracked and ranked and a Collector Status is assigned, as follows:
Optimal Successfully processing the data collected
Caution Issues may cause some data to not be collected
Danger Indicates the number of more serious collection errors
Click on row to display a pop-up that lists the Client, Environment, and Status.

Status by Environment

This card displays the information on all the Collectors within the environment, as follows:

  • The Health column displays the Health Status of the Collector environment.
  • The Environment column displays the name of the Collector (“Default” if not named at creation).
  • The Data Collection column displays number of collection errors.
  • The Communication Latency column displays any delays from the collection service to the target resource.
  • The Upload Latency column displays any delays in the uploading of data to WISdom.
  • The Processing Latency column displays any delays in the processing of data uploaded to WISdom.

Collector Health data can be further focused by using the Group By drop-down menu, as follows:

By Environment:
Displays a sortable list of the overall Host and Database Health by Time Frames. Use the Chart Interval widget to further focus the Time Frames.

  • The Server, Since, Platform, Error Type, and Description are displayed for each time range.
